As teenagers living in London, we’d run in the park to clear hangovers. Long runs, and perhaps even longer nights.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA decade later, we found ourselves in New York City looking for new paths—one of us pursued running more intensely, the other meditation. We soon realized that runners were as interested in training their minds as they were in building physical stamina. This insight gave rise to District Vision, which initially consisted of a series of meditation workshops for runners. Since then, our interest in running as a tool for self-exploration has evolved in many ways.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe began designing and making products in Japan, inspired by a culture dedicated to excellence. Our sports eyewear system launched in December 2015, and we are proud to say that Japanese technology and craftsmanship remain at the core of everything we create. In time, our vision expanded to include apparel and accessories—each piece is driven by the same commitment to careful sourcing and a deep, purposeful approach to design. What started as a side project in a shared office in New York is now a growing independent team based in California. We continue to operate District Vision autonomously, without outside investors.
