Description

The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0062 col. 3 Bronze Black is a unisex optical frame from the SCULPT collection, a line inspired by the traces left during the sculptural process: chisel marks on stone, the spaces between masses of clay, and the structures used during crafting all become an integral part of the design. The result perfectly interprets Masahiro Maruyama’s "Unfinished Art" concept, which seeks beauty in the incomplete and the irregular.

The frame features an oval, slightly polygonal shape, constructed with a thin titanium front with a deliberately irregular surface. The most striking element is the asymmetry between the two lenses: one is completely surrounded by the metal structure, while on the other, sections of the rim appear to have been removed, leaving the lens seemingly suspended and secured via small metal components. The contrast between the dark bronze and the black, enriched by small metallic details, further accentuates the model's sculptural effect.

The construction uses pure titanium for the front, while the temples are crafted from β-titanium with acetate temple tips. Adjustable nose pads and slim temples help keep this elaborately designed eyewear visually lightweight. Production is entirely Made in Japan.

The dimensions are 49-21-145 mm. The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0062 Bronze Black is one of the most conceptual frames in the SCULPT line: titanium worked like a sculpted surface, incomplete rims, exposed fixtures, and marked asymmetries transform the eyewear into a small, wearable piece of architecture.
