The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0065 col. 2 White is a unisex optical frame from the SCULPT collection, inspired by the traces left during the sculptural process: chisel marks on stone, the spaces between masses of clay, and the structures used to build a form. It is a particularly essential interpretation of Masahiro Maruyama’s “Unfinished Art” concept, which seeks beauty in the incomplete and the irregular.

The front features a slightly geometric oval-pantos shape, with deliberately non-uniform profiles and subtle variations between the right and left sides. The distinct White finish makes the frame almost graphic: the white wraps around the entire structure and highlights the small variations in thickness and the irregular surfaces, as if the metal had been hand-molded rather than produced according to perfectly regular geometry. The color is officially identified as No. 2 White.

The frame is made of pure titanium, while the temples combine beta-titanium and acetate. The craftsmanship of the SCULPT collection is intentionally different from the traditional pursuit of perfectly polished surfaces: the treatment instead evokes the traces and irregularities typical of sculptural work. Adjustable nose pads complete a thin and visually very light construction.
