Description

The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0085 col. 2 Light Brown is a unisex optical frame from the DESSIN collection, one of the most representative expressions of the Japanese designer’s “Unfinished Art” concept. The design is inspired by freehand sketches: the small irregularities of the drawing are intentionally preserved and transferred to the frame, transforming imperfection into an aesthetic element.

The front piece reinterprets the classic crown pantos shape through a faceted and asymmetrical profile. The upper part features almost straight segments, while the lower part becomes progressively softer and rounded. The two lenses are not perfectly symmetrical, creating that “hand-drawn” effect that immediately distinguishes Masahiro Maruyama creations.

The official No. 2 Light Brown color adds a warmer and more refined component compared to the black version: the light brown tone softens the technical character of the metal and highlights the variations in the profile without weighing down the face. The frame is crafted with a pure titanium front, while the temples combine β-titanium and acetate; production is entirely Made in Japan.

The dimensions are 46-23-145 mm, with a lens height of approximately 41 mm and a maximum front width of approximately 141 mm. The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0085 Light Brown thus combines a sober and sophisticated hue with a decidedly original geometry: light brown titanium, irregular profiles, and controlled asymmetries bring to life a contemporary and distinctive pair of glasses, capable of standing out for its design rather than its color.
