Description

The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0085 col. 3 Green is a unisex optical frame from the Dessin collection, one of the lines that best represents the Japanese designer's concept of "Unfinished Art." The project originates from a freehand drawing: the imperfections and irregularities typical of a sketch are transferred directly into the structure of the frame, creating a deliberately unconventional shape.

The front is crafted from pure titanium and offers a unique reinterpretation of the pantos shape, with faceted profiles that differ slightly between the right and left sides. The Green color, an intense and deep shade, highlights the irregular geometries without weighing down the frame. Observing the top and bottom profiles, you can perceive small changes in direction that give the glasses the appearance of a line drawn freely on paper.

The temples are made of β-titanium with acetate tips and maintain the same irregular flow as the front. The translucent tips in shades of green introduce an additional chromatic detail, while the adjustable nose pads complete an extremely essential construction. The absence of flashy decorative elements allows the shape, color, and titanium craftsmanship to define the model's identity.

The dimensions are 46-23-145 mm and the frame is Made in Japan. The Masahiro Maruyama MM-0085 Green therefore combines a bold tone with a sophisticated and deliberately imperfect design: Japanese titanium, a deconstructed pantos shape, and asymmetrical lines give life to an original pair of glasses that is, however, more wearable than the designer's more extreme creations.
